Miniature Compression Load Cell Force Sensor FC10C is made of stainless steel based on metal foil strain gauge technology intended for compression force measurement. Subminiature button load cell FC10C offers 0-11lbf / 0-22lbf / 0-44lbf / 0-110lbf four measuring ranges to choose from. Micro Button Load Cell FC10C is featured with only 10mm outer diameter and 6mm total height which makes it extremely suitable for force measurement applications where mounting space is limited. Typical applications for smallest compression load cell FC10C are such as clamping force measurement, force overload protection, load distribution analysis, pressing die force measurement, auto equipment, assembly line and so on. Custom made service is available at Forsentek if our clients want to make modifications based on the standard specifications.

A load cell (or loadcell) is a transducer which converts force into a measurable electrical output. Although there are many varieties of loadcells, strain gauge load cells are the most commonly used type which is comprised of a solid metal body on which strain gauges have been secured to form a wheatstone bridge which delivers mV/V output.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of micro force sensor FC10C is around 1.0mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-10V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output signal of button loadcell FC10C is normally within 0-10mV.
Example one: Miniature Compresssion Sensor FC10C-5kg with 1.0mV/V rated output powered by 5V DC,the output range is 0~5mV.
Example two: Micro Button Load Cell FC10C-10kg with 1.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 3.3V DC,the output range is 0~3.3mV.
Load cell + Signal amplifier: A signal conditioner can be used to convert mV signal into 0-5V/0-10V/4-20mA for easy signal processing.
Example one: Micro load cell FC10C-10kg working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V,the load-voltage relationship will be 0-10kg compressive load VS 0-10V output.
Example two: Miniature Load Cell FC10C-5kg working with amplifier FSC(4-20mA)-24V,the load-current relationship will be 0-5kg compression force VS 4-20mA output.
