Flange-to-Flange Reaction Torque Measurement Device FTA is strain gague based with mV/V output intended for non-rotating torque measurement, flange mounted torque meter FTA offers 0-2kgf*cm / 0- 5kgf*cm / 0-10kgf*cm / 0-20kgf*cm / 0-30kgf*cm / 0-50kgf*cm / 0-1kgf*m / 0-2kgf*m / 0-3kgf*m / 0-5kgf*m / 0-10kgf*m eleven rated measuring ranges to choose from. 2kg*cm-300kg*cm versions are made of aluminum while 5kg*m/10kg*m versions are made of alloy steel. 4-6.5 thru holes located on both ends of the torque cell can be used for bolting between shafts,switches or mounting plates. Reaction Torque Meter FTA has no moving parts which makes it very durable and suitable for industrial environments,it’s applicable for torque measurement in both clockwise and anticlockwise direction. Torque measurement unit FTA can also be used for rotating torque measurement under certain configuration. Disconnectable cable with mating connector is included, each torque meter will come with an in-house calibration certificate to guarantee the performance and quality.Typical applications for this type of torque meter are for example motor torque measurement,test bench applications,screw driver calibration,twist measurement and so on. The technology behind our torque sensors are strain gages. These gauges are arranged into a Wheatstone Bridge circuit, which converts the physical, mechanical torque into an electrical signal that can be filtered, displayed, and recorded for further processing. This very accurate radiometric electrical signal is proportional to the applied mechanical torsion.There are two types of torque transducers at Forsentek,reaction type and rotary type. Torque measurement device FTA is a reaction type torque transducer which works by measuring the reaction force generated by an object that is creating torque. It measures this torque by being in line with an object generating or acted on by torque such as a motor and its static mounts. These types of torque sensors are not intended to rotate. They can under controlled circumstances be rotated over a small range or can be used with rotating shafts that pass through the middle of our through-hole reaction torque sensors.The output range of torque meter FTA is normally between -25mV...+25mV, a signal amplifier can be used to convert mV signal into ±5V, ±10V, 0-5V, 0-10V, 4-20mA output for easy data acquisition.Taking flange type reaction torque sensor FTA-10Nm working with amplifier FSC(4-12-20mA)-24V for example, the torque-current relationship will be 0-10N*m in clockwise direction VS 12-20mA output, 0-10N-m in counterclockwise direction VS 12-4mA output, 16mA current output corresponds to 5N*m torque in clockwise direction, 8mA current output corresponds to 5Nm torque in anticlockwise direction, and so on.
