A load cell (or loadcell) is a transducer which converts force into a measurable electrical output. Although there are many varieties of loadcells, strain gauge load cells are the most commonly used type which is comprised of a solid metal body on which strain gauges have been secured to form a wheatstone bridge which delivers mV/V output.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of FCMP is around 2.0mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of press load cell FCMP is -30mV...+30mV.
Example: Press Force Load Cell FCMP-500N with 2.0mV/V rated output powered by 5V DC, the output range is -10mV...+10mV.
A signal conditioner can be used to convert mV signal into 0-5V/0-10V/4-20mA for easy signal processing.
Example: Low Profile Press Force Transducer FCMP-1kN working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V, the force-voltage relationship will be 0-1000N compressive force VS 0-10V output.
