Flange to Square Reaction Torque Sensor FT04 is a non-rotating type torque transducer that converts a torsional mechanical input into an electrical output signal, reaction torque meter FT04 is made of stainless steel based on strain gauge technology supporting torque measurement in both clockwise and anticlockwise direction with 0-15lb-ft / 0-37lbf*ft / 0-74lb*ft / 0-148lb-ft / 0-220lbf*ft / 0-369lb*ft six rated measuring ranges to choose from. Square drive torque wrench calibration tool FT04 offers a unique solution for auditing and calibrating mechanical torque wrenches where the flange can be mounted to the bench and the 3/4 inch square can accept sockets. Square Torque Transducer FT04 can also be modified or customized as per client's request for different applications.

The technology behind our torque sensors are strain gages. These gauges are arranged into a Wheatstone Bridge circuit, which converts the physical, mechanical torque into an electrical signal that can be filtered, displayed, and recorded for further processing. This very accurate radiometric electrical signal is proportional to the applied mechanical force.They are two types of torque transducers at Forsentek,reaction type and rotary type. Model FT04 is a reaction type torque sensor which works by measuring the reaction force generated by an object that is creating torque. It measures this torque by being in line with an object generating or acted on by torque such as a pneumatic torque wrench. These types of torque sensors are not intended to rotate. They can under controlled circumstances be rotated over a small range or can be used with rotating shafts that pass through the middle of our through-hole reaction torque sensors.The output range of square torque transducer FT04 is normally between -25mV...+25mV, a signal amplifier can be used to convert mV signal into ±5V,±10V,0-5V,0-10V or 4-20mA output for easy data acquisition.Taking square torque sensor FT04-500Nm working with amplifier FSC(-5-5V)-24V for example,the torque-voltage relationship will be 0-500N*m in clockwise direction VS 0-5V output, 0-500N-m in anticlockwise direction VS 0-(-5V) output, 1V voltage corresponds to 100N*m torque in clockwise direction, -2V voltage corresponds to 200N*m torque in counterclockwise direction, and so on.
