A torque sensor is a transducer that converts a torsional mechanial input into an electrical output signal.Torque transducers can be devided into two types:Rotating torque sensors and static torque sensors.Rotating torque sensor is also known as rotary torque transducer which can be used to measure both static torque and dynamic torque on a rotating shaft,while a static torque transducer is normlly used for non-rotating torque measurement which is also know as reaction torque.
