A load cell (or loadcell) is a transducer which converts force into a measurable electrical output. Although there are many varieties of loadcells, strain gauge load cells are the most commonly used type which is comprised of a solid metal body on which strain gauges have been secured to form a wheatstone bridge which delivers mV/V output.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of thrust load cell FFD is around 1.0mV/V.
Power supply is within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of pull and push force sensor FFD is -15mV...+15mV(Tension and compression).
Example: Tension And Compression Load Cell FFD-20kN with 1.0mV/V rated output powered by 10V DC,the output range is -10mV...+10mV(Tension and compression).
A signal conditioner is normally used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output for easy data processing:
