M4 Rod End In-line Type Cylindrical Load Cell FLN is made of stainless steel based on strain gauge technology intended for both tension and compression force measurement. Inline Load Cell FLN offers 0-5kg / 0-10kg / 0-20kg / 0-50kg / 0-100kg / 0-200kg / 0-300kg / 0-500kg eight rated measuring ranges with mV/V output from the full wheatstone bridge. Compact design makes for rod end load cell FLN especially suitable for force measurement applications where mounting space is limited. M8/M4 threaded rod located on each side enables force transducer FLN to replace the existing structure and be easily embedded into mechanical shaft, the M4 male thread can also be used to mount attachments such as eye bolts, bolt adapters,etc.,for different applications. Custom made service is also available as per client's request.

A load cell (or loadcell) is a transducer which converts force into a measurable electrical output. Although there are many varieties of loadcells, strain gauge load cells are the most commonly used type which is comprised of a solid metal body on which strain gauges have been secured to form a wheatstone bridge which delivers mV/V output.
Output signal of load cell and amplifier:
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of Threaded Inline Load Cell FLN is normally around 1.0mV/V.
Power supply of Rod End Tension Compression Load Cell FLN is normally within 3-10V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of In Line Load Cell FLN is normally within -10mV…+20mV for tensile and compressive force measurement.
Example one: Threaded In-line Load Cell FLN-5kg with 1.1mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC, the output range is -5.5mV...+5.5mV.
Example two: Threaded Rod End Force Sensor FLN-10kg with 0.95mV/V rated output powered by 10V DC, the output range is -9.5mV...+9.5mV.
The mV/V output from the wheatstone bridge sometimes can hardly be processed directly, a signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example one: Inline Type Tension Compression Force Sensor FLN-10kg working with amplifier FSC(-10-10V)-24V, the Load-Voltage relationship will be 0-10kg compression force VS 0-10V output, 0-10kg traction force VS 0-(-10V), which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 1V output corresponds to 1kg thrust load, (-2V) output corresponds to 2kg tensile load, and so on.
Example two: Rod End Tensile Compressive Force Transducer FLN-20kg working with amplifier FSC(4-12-20mA)-24V, the Force-Current relationship will be 0-20kg compressive force VS 12-20mA output, 0-20kgN tensile force VS 12-4Ma, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 12mA output corresponds to “0” load, 12.8mA output corresponds to 2kg compression load, 8mA output corresponds to 10kg traction load, and so on.
