A load cell is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied load/force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer which is normally within -30mV...+30mV.
Brief instruction of Rated output(or Sensitivity):
Definition: The signal produced by load cell(or force transducer) when rated load is applied, expressed in terms of mV/V. The rated output indicates the output signal range of the sensor.
Sensor output = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of thin load cell FHA is normally within 1.5mV/V~2.0mV/V.
Power supply of compact weight sensor FHA is within 3-10V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of weight sensor FHA is normally within 0-20mV.
Example one: Low profile weight transducer FHA-150kg with 2.0mV/V rated output powered by 5V DC ,the output range is 0~10mV.
