Miniature Compression Force Sensor FC10C is made of stainless steel based on metal foil strain gauge technology intended for compression force measurement. Subminiature button load cell FC10C offers 0-50N / 0-100N / 0-200N / 0-500N four measuring ranges to choose from. Micro compression load cell FC10C is featured with only 10mm outer diameter and 6mm total height which makes it extremely suitable for force measurement applications where mounting space is limited. Typical applications for smallest compression load cell FC10C are such as clamping force measurement, force overload protection, load distribution analysis, pressing die force measurement, auto equipment, assembly line and so on.

A load cell (or loadcell) is a transducer which converts force into a measurable electrical output. Although there are many varieties of loadcells, strain gauge load cells are the most commonly used type which is comprised of a solid metal body on which strain gauges have been secured to form a wheatstone bridge which delivers mV/V output.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output is normally within 1mV/V~3mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the load cell output signal is normally within 0-45mV(-45mV...+45mV for bidirectional load cell).
Example one: FC10C-5kg with 1.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC,the output range is 0~10mV.
Example two: FC10C-10kg with 1.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 3.3V DC,the output range is 0~3.3mV.
Load cell + Signal amplifier:
A signal conditioner can be used to convert mV signal into 0-5V/0-10V/4-20mA for easy signal processing.
Example one: Micro load cell FC10C-10kg working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V,the load-voltage relationship will be 0-10kg load VS 0-10V output.
Example two: Miniature loadcell FC10C-5kg working with amplifier FSC(4-20mA)-24V,the load-current relationship will be 0-5kg load VS 4-20mA output.
